The PIXMA MX884 includes 5 Single Inks which are individually replaceable to optimise ink usage and features a pigment black ink for crisp, sharp text. PIXMA MX884 uses dye inks to produce exceptional quality photos with minimum 1 picolitre ink droplets, and maximum 9,600dpi print resolution. For document printing, PIXMA MX884 has impressive ISO ESAT speeds of approximately 12.5ipm mono and 9.3ipm colour, while it can produce a 10x15cm borderless photolab-quality print in approximately 20 seconds[1].

The PIXMA MX884 includes Quick Start for virtually instantaneous operation from the moment the power is switched on, ensuring users can print, copy and scan almost immediately. It also features a fully integrated high speed ADF with duplex function, which ensures large two-sided documents can be scanned, copied or faxed quickly.
A 2,400dpi scanner ensures fast, clear and high-resolution scanning, while Auto Scan Mode allows users to create high quality scans in the correct format using a simple one-click process. High quality copying is achieved through the use of Dual Colour Gamut Processing Technology, and Text and Image Separation Technology which provide accurate reproduction of colours in photocopied documents or reprints of old photos and superior text legibility in first and second generation copies. The PIXMA MX884 is designed to be simple to use and the new Dual Function Panel features LED lit dual purpose keys. These change appearance according to the mode selected, therefore reducing the number of physical keys. The inclusion of Quick Operation also reduces the number of steps required to access commonly used functions, meaning fewer key presses are required to achieve results, while a 7.5cm colour TFT display ensures that the functions are easy to see. The PIXMA MX884 also offers practical business functions including Super G3 high speed fax with save-to-memory functionality, which enables users to easily choose whether to store or print faxes.
