A little history of drupa

Drupa refers to a major international trade fair for the printing, media and packaging industry that started in 1951 and is now held every four years.

The name 'drupa' originally came from 'druck und papier' in German, which translates to 'printing and paper' in English. The event is held in Düsseldorf, Germany where it has historically been one of the largest and most influential trade fairs in the printing and graphic arts industry. drupa provides a platform for companies and professionals in the printing and related industries to showcase their latest products, technologies and innovations. It covers a wide range of printing technologies, including offset printing, digital printing, and gravure printing to name a few.

The print event also encompasses various aspects of the printing process, such as pre-press and post-press technologies, as well as materials and equipment related to packaging. Participating companies use drupa to unveil new products, reveal print news, demonstrate cutting-edge technologies, and connect with potential customers and business partners.

It serves as a meeting point for industry experts, manufacturers, suppliers, and professionals to exchange ideas, network and stay informed about the latest trends and developments in the printing and media sector.
