ITINERARY

Part: SLOVENIA

On the first day we will meet at Ljubljana Airport, the capital city of Slovenia. From there, we will have a short drive of approximately 20 minutes to Lake Bled, where our wonderful hotel is located and our adventures start, and where we will be staying for four days. If anyone arrives in Slovenia earlier, we can also pick them up in Ljubljana, the capital. If you arrive earlier and are already in Bled, we will all meet in the hotel lobby. After a brief rest, we will head to our first sunset photography session. After the photography session, we will return to the hotel, where we will have a group dinner.

Our daily schedule will follow a similar pattern. Each morning, we will begin by photographing the sunrise and then return to the hotel for breakfast and, if needed, a short rest. Similarly, in the evenings, we will head out to capture the sunset and then return to the hotel for dinner. This schedule is designed to allow you to rest and recharge in the evenings as needed. Throughout the day, we will visit various interesting locations and, of course, capture beautiful photographs. Lunch will be an opportunity to experience traditional Slovene cuisine, with meals arranged in carefully selected local restaurants, including a mountain inn. This way, you'll not only enhance your photography skills but also get a taste of the local culture and everything that complements a great photographic experience.

On the second/third/fourth day, our schedule will remain consistent. We will rise early for the sunrise photoshoot and then continue the day as previously outlined. Over these days, we will photograph some of the most famous and popular locations in Slovenia, as well as some lesser-known but equally beautiful spots. We will visit Lake Bled, famous for its island with a church in the middle. We will also walk through the Vintgar Gorge, a 2.5-kilometer gorge with wooden walkways. We will also visit three iconic churches: St. Thomas Church, St. Jacob Church, and Jamnik Church. These churches, set against the backdrop of the Julian Alps, are often surrounded by mist and fog during autumn, creating a magical atmosphere. These are true gems of Slovenia. In addition to these locations, we will explore other beautiful spots in northern Slovenia, such as Lake Jasna and the source of the Sava River. All in all, it will be an exciting and enriching experience.

CROSSING BORDER on Day Nr. 5
On the fifth day we will start our day with a sunrise photoshoot. After breakfast, we will check out of the hotel and head to our next destination: Plitvice Lakes in Croatia. The drive will take approximately three and a half hours, during which we will cross the border between Slovenia and Croatia. We will also have a lunch break along the way. Upon arrival, we will check into our new hotel and, later in the afternoon, head out to a beautiful location for a sunset photoshoot. Afterward, we will enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel for the night.

Part: CROATIA

On the next day we will start a bit earlier. This is the only day that will include approximately one hour of morning hiking to our truly epic sunrise location. The trail will be about 80% on a wide, paved road and the last 20% on a forest path, with the final 10 minutes involving a bit of an incline. The path is not dangerous or exposed, and we can easily walk uphill. After photographing the sunrise at this stunning location, we will continue to the northern part of the park for about two more hours, where we will explore and photograph two to three truly exceptional locations. We will then return to the hotel for a short rest and lunch. In the afternoon, we will head to the southern part of the park, where our sunset spot is located. We will take a scenic boat ride on the lake for about 20 minutes, enjoying the breathtaking views, and then have another hour of walking on wooden trails to our final location. Along the way, there will be plenty of fascinating spots to photograph. After the sunset, we will have our final group dinner, which will be truly special and delightful, before returning to the hotel.

The next morning, our last day, we will have one final morning photography session for the sunrise, then return to the hotel for checkout, and depart for Zagreb Airport. We will arrive at the airport no later than 2 PM, so you can plan your flights accordingly. If anyone wishes, they can also travel back to Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia.
